There are many different wine regions of France each offer their own bit of complex diversity that differentiates it from the others. In the north east of France there is the Alsace region that produces excellent dry and sweet wines. The grapes used in this type of wine are grown there and nowhere else. Burgundy's originates in an area south of Paris and extends all the way to Lyon. Burgundy's wines are red and white and have a velvety and sensual taste that makes it one of the world's more exciting wines. An island off the French south coast is one of the farthest wine regions of France. Corsica wines must be drunk young and fresh, and offers subtle rose` and dry white wines. The Loire Valley are often considered the most beautiful French wine region and follows the river into the Atlantic.
